The Housing Program Intern will support operations for CVR’s clients, including assisting with the creation and modification of letters, forms, technology tools, and training materials; program compliance efforts; preparation of proposals; and direct technical support for CVR operations. </p><p class="MsoNormal"> </p><p class="MsoNormal">This is a paid internship at CVR’s Atlanta office in Alpharetta, Georgia. Make recommendation to supervisor based on the findings of the audit.  Work with the supervisor to achieve goals and prepare plans of action to achieve goal as needed.   Report on team/employee efficiency and deficiency.</p><p> </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Repo</strong><strong>r</strong><strong>ts</strong><strong> </strong><strong>t</strong><strong>o</strong><strong>:</strong></p><p>Quality Assurance Supervisor</p><p><br></p><p>Supervises: None</p><p><br></p><p> </p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES<p> </p><p>•    Conduct quality review and audit of employee files for accuracy and content</p><p>•    Perform systematic internal audit of tiles of data to determine compliance with established policies, procedures, federal rules and regulations, administrative plan, and contractual performance standard</p><p>•    Coordinate with other program staff for quality control reviews</p><p>•    Ensure file data supports information in system (Y ARDI, FILEN ET)</p><p>•    Review calculations for accuracy and determine whether appropriate resources were used</p><p>•    Note and resolve discrepancies in income calculations in the file</p><p>•    Recommend manuals and procedural changes to enhance accuracy and consistency</p><p>•    Work on special projects as needed for special reviews and reports</p><p>•    Prepare reports indicating the number and causes of errors and recommend corrective action in accordance to the performance standards</p><p>•    Review files for the presence of required documents</p><p>•    Monitor all areas of HCVP to ensure compliance and report on operational effectiveness</p><p>•    Report on all areas of HCVP to ensure operation above performance standards</p><p>•    Audit files to ensure a violation of the administrative plan or HCV Procedure does not exist</p><p>•    Report all violations to supervisor including fraud</p><p>•    Provide weekly team and individual status reports to Supervisor</p><p>•    Determine performance in relation to goals set in the performance standard and recommend corrective action as needed, inclusive of training and other corrective action</p><p>•    All additional program specific duties as assigned by the Supervisor</p><p> </p>ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBLITIES<p>•    Knowledge of HUD, Housing Choice Voucher Program procedures and requirements, and</p><p>Administrative Plan</p><p>•    Knowledge of data collection and analysis methods</p><p>•    Knowledge of Yardi and File Net systems</p><p>•    Knowledge and understanding of income calculations</p><p>•    Ability to review files and reports to determine whether established procedures have been violated</p><p>•    Ability to review files and create complex reports generating trending, summarize findings and statistical information</p><p>•    Ability to troubleshoot issues within a file and recommend resolution based on HCV guidelines and</p><p>Administrative Plan</p><p>•    Ability to report on all areas of the HCVP program including support areas.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>EXPERIENCE<p> </p><p>•    Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two (2) years' experience in the Housing Choice Voucher Program or compliance functions</p><p>•    Five (5) years related work experience in internal audits.
